Vision and Mission

To elevate the access of education, to improve the quality of education; to reach the unreached by creating learner-centric environment; to provide life-long learning opportunities and skill up-gradation to all learners using innovative technologies and methodologies.

Educating and empowering the last mile learners, enabling them to compete with the global world by equipping them with the upright combination of knowledge, skills, employability and values for serving society. The mission of the university is "Education for all”. The university strives for excellence by developing an innovative, flexible and open system of education using the latest methods and technologies.

The University strives to realize its vision and mission by:

  • Providing quality education at affordable cost;
  • Reaching out to learners living in urban/rural/remote areas in the State;
  • Facilitating learner-centric and multidisciplinary course curriculum, pedagogy, and resources through technology-enabled joyful and diverse learning environments;
  • Promoting innovation in teaching, learning, research, and extension for achieving excellence and world-class competencies;
  • Providing the best quality learning material by developing quality print, audio-video resources in-house as well as through OER & MOOCs;
  • Offering various courses under Choice Based Credit System and giving emphasis on skill based courses for promoting employment opportunities;
  • Emphasizing value based competencies among learners for developing socially responsible professionals and leaders;
  • Promoting autonomy with self-accountability through participatory, transparent and value-based governance;
  • Collaborating with various Universities/Institutes/Organizations of National and International repute for advancement of knowledge and skills;
  • Addressing issues and priorities of the marginalized community thereby empowering them with a global perspective.

How to download Study Material of BAOU

 As of my last update in September 2021, to download study material from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU), you can follow these steps: 1. Visit the Official BAOU Website: Go to the official website of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University at https://www.baou.edu.in/ 2. Navigate to "Student Zone": Look for the "Student Zone" or "Students Corner" section on the website's homepage. 3. Click on "Study Material": Under the "Student Zone" section, you should find a link or tab labeled "Study Material" or "e-Content." Click on it. 4.
